Baxter County Arkansas

Baxter County is situated in the north of Arkansas with a border which is shared by Missouri. Baxter County is Arkansas's 66th county.

Baxter County lies adjacent to six other counties of which five are in Arkansas and one in Missouri. The counties are Ozark County in Missouri, Fulton County, Izard County, Stone County, Searcy County and Marion County in Arkansas

Baxter County is ideal for those who love lakes and fishing as it is bordered by two of Arkansas's largest lakes, Bull Shoals Lake and Norfolk Lake.

Baxter County not only has lakes, but the Buffalo River also runs through the county. In addition, part of the Ozark National Forest is also in Baxter County.
