Benton

Benton County was formed on 30th September 1836 and as of the 2000 census, the population was 153,406. The county seat is Bentonville. Benton County was named after Thomas Hart Benton, the U.S. Senator from Missouri. Benton is an alcohol prohibition or dry county.
